Alejandro Falla


Lawyer. Master’s degree in utility regulation, London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom. Graduated from the Law School of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

Practice areas: Competition law, economic regulation, telecommunications regulation, energy and transportation regulation, torts, contracts and arbitration.

Professor of Competition Law and regulation at national and international universities.

Author of various articles on law and competition. He has received various international recognition.

He has held leadership positions in various government regulatory bodies. He was also a member of the Advisory Cabinet for the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Peru in 2001, among other leading positions.

Professor of Competition Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

Taught Competition Law and Regulation in the master’s degree program in business law.

Visiting professor of Competition Law in the master’s degree program in business law at Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Buenos Aires, Argentina.


Arbitrator in cases administered by the Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, the Supervisory Agency for Government Procurement (OSCE, in Spanish), at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and ad hoc arbitration cases in matters related to execution of construction contracts, termination of broadcast service contracts, and breach of supply contracts, among others.

• Beca British Chevening Scholarship administrado por el Consejo Británico (2000).

• Ha merecido calificaciones de liderazgo en Competencia y Regulación, Regulación en Telecomunicaciones, Regulación en Energía, Regulación en Transportes, y Resolución de Controversias, en el ranking sobre el mercado de servicios legales en Latinoamérica elaborado por Chambers & Partners (2008 a 2013).
